After a break for the holidays, my son and I were able to go out to the Emporia Animal Shelter this morning for the first time this year. We did not have a lot of time this morning, but we really wanted to get out there to see our dogs.

Great news – all of the dogs that we were walking in December have been adopted! So we got an opportunity to meet Chandler. He looks like a blonde German Shepherd to me, but I am told he is an Anatolian Shepherd. He is very much a puppy in the way he moves his body and his energy. He is a sweet animal – an absolute joy to walk and very pleasant to interact with. He paid close attention to us on the walk and he will make a great house dog.

I cannot imagine that he will be at the shelter very long. Above is a picture of Chandler with my son.
